British Biophysical Society (BBS)

The British Biophysical Society was founded in 1960 and is a registered UK charity whose activities include: organising and sponsoring specialist scientific meetings and a large biennial national biophysics meeting in the UK; supporting the community through prizes, travel bursaries and other awards, particularly aimed at students and early career researchers; and representing UK biophysics internationally as the UK adhering society to the International Union for Pure and Applied Biophysics and the European Biophysical Societies’ Association.

Membership is open to scientists and others with an interest in biophysics, and the society explicitly aims to support equality, diversity and inclusion within the UK biophysics community. To find out more, visit the BBS website.
